I am an experienced Financial Adviser / Financial Planner, and I pride myself in being approachable, down-to-earth and ‘normal’. You won’t ever get any jargon filled presentations or sales pitches from me. Instead, you’ll find an empathetic ear willing to listen to your financial issues and objectives, and then work hard to find solutions that are right for you and make you better off.
My financial services career started many years ago when this rather naïve Zoology graduate walked into the local Halifax and asked for a loan. The loan was swiftly declined due to lack of a proper job, so I asked for that instead! A journeyman career in the bank beckoned, from Cashier in Liverpool, Banking Adviser in Chester, Assistant Manager in Wrexham, Bank Manager in Stoke on Trent to Business Manager in Cambridge, all the while trying to help people improve their finances in the same way that bank manager did for me on day one.
Fast forward 22 years and, having moved to Norfolk with my wife and children, I decided to put my face-to-face skills to better use in financial advice. I have spent the last 8 years providing bespoke retirement planning advice, prior to joining St. James's Place, I spent 6 years with a local firm of accountants. I became Chartered in 2021 and pride myself in sticking firmly to my roots, sharing that knowledge with anyone that needs it.
I founded Fenland Financial Planning with the aim of providing a wide ranging, holistic financial planning service to the families and small businesses of the Fens, helping them to navigate the labyrinth of options within the financial services industry.
I provide face to face financial planning in the following locations: Downham Market, Kings Lynn, Wisbech, March, Thetford, Ely and Swaffham (as well as the surrounding villages).
